After her talk in the hallway with Samantha, Angelique decided to begin her wedding planning by walking around the garden, for that was were she wished to have her wedding this fall. And as she walked through the kitchen she caught sight of Laura, Jeremiah, and Josette. All three of them disliked…

Naomi heard her name from an all too familiar voice. She did not want to entertain this conversation at all.

"It is Mrs. Collins to you."

The night and mess of the ball still hung in her memories.

"What are you doing out here?"

OOC: Must run.

I’m gonna try and do some homework.

Operative word: try

Though we all know I’ll probably be back sooner than later no progress to speak of, I’m going to attempt it anyway.

Naomi will be in the garden. Tag me if ya need meh~

I’ll answer when I get back on.

Is it wrong to be excited for Naomi’s reaction to Angelique and Barnabas’ engagement

So is everyone back now or??

#Carolyn is off hiatus
#Julia is off hiatus, unless she hasn’t made her new account

Josette didn’t want to look at Naomi. Had it not been Josette who thought it best Jeremiah should leave his brothers side? Joshua was being tended to by servants and a doctor. It seemed logical at the time to take the anxious Jeremiah away, to try and calm him. Yet now she could see that by doing this she may have inadvertedly being partly to blame for the demise of Joshua Collins.

“I thought it best at the time.” Josette half whispered, forcing herself to look at Naomi. Josette was now beginning to surge with guilt. Her lips thinning as she looked down again at her plate of untouched food.

"Best for whom?!" Naomi slammed her hands down on the table. She would not press her anger back at this point. She was angry and she did not care her felt the brunt of it now.

"Best for you to not be bothered with him? Best for Jeremiah As far as I’m concerned it has only left someone I love dead!"

Naomi stood up abruptly from the table and stormed out into the garden. She was much too heated to stay at that table and she had enough wherewithal to realize staying there would mean spewing words she couldn’t take back in the end.

They found Joshua’s body in the early hours of the morning. It took two fisher boats and six men to remove the corpse from the cradling rocks below Window’s Hill. As if to reflect the tragic events, the weather was yet again unforgiving with harsh winds from the east and changeable skies which…

Naomi came to breakfast, unwillingly. No one was talking about the incident. No one was letting her mourn and it bother her. She just wanted someone to speak.

She sat with a plate in front of her, knowing she wouldn’t touch it. She looked around the table, slowly examining each face. She could see that it was making everyone uncomfortable but she couldn’t care less at this point. She was disconnected and uninhibited.

Her husband was dead and she didn’t know what to do. Her bed was empty. Her heart was empty. She didn’t want to be here right now, but mostly she wanted an explanation of what had gone on in his mind before he jumped. Why he jumped was her main concern.

“Why?” she spoke unconsciously to no one in particular.

The quesition was the ultimate taboo, lingering in the air, taunting them all. When Naomi dared to speak it, none could ignore it now. It was the  question: why? Why would a man such as Jeremiah Collins kill two men and then, after being brought to the house in a state of unconciousness, throw himself off Widow’s Hill little than an hour later. Why?

Josette raised her eyes to look at Naomi. She didn’t dare patronise by giving her a forced look of sympathy; instead she looked just as blank as the newly made widow. When Jeremiah and Josette left Joshua, he was unconcious. When they returned all they could find was a letter. What possible explanation could there be?

Josette spoke quietly, almost to her cup of tea. “Joshua was very ill when we found him… he may not have known what he was doing…” Still, she knew it was a lame attempt at an explanation. A man who wasn’t aware of himself wouldn’t have written a letter.

When Naomi heard Josette’s voice she was a bit startled, jumping back in her chair.

"Why was he left alone?"

Naomi felt anger flair over her sadness. She had these fits in and out this day. She wasn’t ready to discuss this without bias but she wanted to speak frankly about it now. She wanted everyone to know the disdain she held for this whole situation and on some of the people involved at the end.

She was more angry that she wasn’t there herself.

What to do? || Barnabas & Naomi

"What to do?" Naomi pondered this while laying in her bed unmoving. She wasn’t at all interested in getting out of bed. The days were seeming longer and longer. They lingered. It was the worst part of the whole ordeal, learning to live on your own. It was a relatively frightening concept for her having always just expected him there. He was an absent man but not so absent that she wouuld think he would contemplate suicide.

She kept pondering until she heard a knock at the door. There were very few people she wanted to see but the fact remained she had to see everyone being that she was the soul benefactor of all pitty at this time.

"Come in."

A lot happened but to be fair, a lot it was happening away from Naomi.

…right on time.

Yeah. I just hate when I have to spend long stints away because going back and reading everyones’ paras is virtually impossible.
